Yonglee is a pianist/composer based in Seoul, Korea.

He has released two albums, Touch(2022), Surface of Time(2022) as a leader, and made appearances at international stages including Jarasum Jazz Festival, Ulsan Jazz Festival, and the Jazz Gallery(NY).

Yonglee, a jazz musician and composer based in Seoul, is putting his own voice on the piano by rendering a compound of various modern musical elements based on improvised music.

Yonglee, who continues to be active, releasing two collections of works <Touch> and E.P. <Surface of Time>, has received the notable attention of critics, which includes selected as a best Korean best jazz album of 2022, and continues to perform at many international stages including Jarasum Jazz Festival, Ulsan Jazz Festival, and the Jazz Gallery (NY). 

Yonglee’s music, a harmonious combination of a modern musical language and a reinvention of the jazz tradition, presents a new alternative to today's  jazz scene. His band includes 5 finest musicians in the Korean jazz scene. The music created by these personnel will break the mold of established jazz and provide a stereos coping hearing experience to the audience.

Yonglee holds a bachelor in music from Berklee college of Music in boston, and a masters from New England Conservatory of Music, where he met brilliant and hardworking colleagues from all over the world. They eventually made a record together in 2019 named <Touch> and the members include Max Light(guitar), Kayvon Gordon(drums), Jacob Shulman(tenor sax), Simon Wilson(bass), with a special guest Walter Smith III (tenor sax). He relocated himself to New York where he made appearances at the Jazz Gallery, Smalls, and Bar Next Door, most valuable venues in the New York jazz scene. During the pandemic, he relocated himself to Korea again and making his presence known rapidly in the jazz and cross-over music scene, and indie music scene. Also "yonglee" has been presenting many masterclasses and regularly lecturing at the BaekSeok University of Arts in Seould
